A father (Joel McHale) and teenage daughter (Lulu Wilson) go away to a retreat for the weekend. There is an estranged relationship between them that stem from the wife/mother's death. This is exacerbated with the news that her dad is getting engaged to the woman (Amanda Beigel) who has a son (Isaiah Rockcliffe. also been dating for a while, that will join them for the weekend.
As expected the daughter, Becky, doesn't take the new well & storms off. A group of escaped convicts (Kevin James, Ryan McDonald & Robbery Maillet) stumble upon their retreat and hold the family hostage. They are after a key that the convicts stored in the property & communicate through a Walkie talkie device she managed to smuggle out, the captor tortures her dad & forces her to choose between returning the key or leaving them to broadcast the torture. br> Unbeknownst to said convicts, Becky is a troubled teenager & they underestimate her as she is remarkable on what she is willing to do to exact vengeance. She goes against the clichéd victim that goes to evade the imminent danger until she is rescued by the local police but instead plots a plan to tackle them head on. I thoroughly enjoyed Lulu Wilson's performance (who is no stranger for being in horror genre having starred in Ouija: origin of horror, the haunting of Hill House) Long may her career continue to prosper.

because her mother recently died from Cancer. Soon, her father, Jeff
(Joel McHale) tells her that he wants to marry a woman he's been dating
which doesn't help her mood. Soon, things get more complex when a group of escaped, Neo-Nazi prisoners arrive at their home and are searching for a computer key. Becky uses her aggression to her advantage trying to outwit them. Kevin James (The King of Queens) plays the leader, Dominick who is determined to get the key. This isn't bad, but I didn't like the ending and the
key's use is never explained. Wilson does a decent job, there's gruesome make-up effects and James does a great, surprising job as a baddie.
The film combines aspects of "Home Alone. Rambo. Die Hard"
and if you don't mind violence and suspense, check it out.
